Network Contracting have in-house trenching and cable laying equipment and Western Power Authorized Cable Jointers with combined industry experience jointing of over 40 years. With Western Power qualifications Live XLPE LV cable jointing, and HV XLPE jointing and non-Western Power certification from 3M medium voltage cable jointing and paper lead jointing we have the skill set to complete your project to a high quality safely.

Insulator Washing and Siliconing

Live line insulators washing helps maintain reliability, combating the insulators contamination buildup. Salt and airborne contaminates such as dust and industrial emissions build up on transmission and distribution system equipment, increasing the potential for conductivity and arc-over at the insulators.

Network Contracting have the qualified personnel, plant and equipment to complete this vital maintenance.

Network Switching Services

HV and LV Distribution, Zone Substation, Transmission Lines and Terminal Substation switching (Western Power Authorised and Nationally Accredited)

Network Contracting employs highly qualified Distribution and Transmission Switching operators to safely provide access to electrical networks for upgrades, interface or maintenance. We understand this support service to projects. We have a specific focus to safety and timing. The role of our switching operators is to provide an electrically safe work area to a crew to perform work in a timely fashion and on restoration ensure the network being restored is “electrically sound” ie phasing and voltages are correct via appropriate testing and commissioning techniques.

Linework

Network Contracting employs a fully equipped Line crew with in-house plant of equipment consisting of a hiab borer, crew truck and 2 insulated 15m EWP’s.

We are lucky to have both distribution and transmission experience often being called on to replace distribution poles and completed customer-funded interface works. We are also fortunate to also be called upon to complete larger works like 132kv line cut-ins and transmission line removals.
